Fisherman’s Pride is seeking employment applications for the following positions;

 v 1 Deckhandv 1 Wharf Labor


Deckhand responsibilities:

–       Prepare fishing gear, i.e. painting buoys, repairing traps and/or rope etc.

–       Assist crew members with harvesting lobster on a daily basis.

–       Loading and unloading gear.

–       Measuring lobster and checking for spawn.

–       Land gear and properly store equipment for winter.

–       Must Have MED 1A, experience is an asset.


Any other ancillary duties deemed necessary by the Fleet Manager and the boat captain.


The Wharf Labor responsibilities:

–          Ensuring that all lobsters are handled with proper care when receiving them from the harvester and ensuring proper handling is being abided by throughout the season.

–          Must have the ability to lift heavy tubs of lobster etc.

–          Must have the ability to work as a team player.

–          Must be able to work long hours.

–          Ensuring that we have enough bait, ice and supplies for the day.

–          Ensuring lobsters handling is being well controlled.

Any other duties deemed by the Wharf Supervisor or Fleet Manager.
