We strive to provide care that is grounded in cultural humility, respect, and empathy. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make the care of your child more culturally safe and sensitive.

Jordan’s Principle ensures that all First Nations children in Canada have access to necessary items, products, services, and support when they need them, regardless of whether they live on-reserve or off-reserve. It holds that First Nations children should not be denied access to public services while governments engage in disputes over who should pay.

Jordan’s Principle provides funding for health, social, and educational needs. It also provides support for the unique needs of First Nations Two-Spirit and LGBTQQIA children and youth, as well as those with disabilities.

At the LIHC, we meet with families and get to know them, so we can support them through their struggles. We are committed to providing help in whatever ways we can by ensuring every client has the appropriate services, supports, and products to suit their specific needs.

Our compassionate team is dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can express your needs, concerns, fears, and anything else you may want to share. We are here to support you through the application process and at every step afterward.

Jordan’s Principle is named in memory of Jordan River Anderson, a young boy from Norway House Cree Nation in Manitoba.
