Programs & Activities

The Lennox Island Health Centre offers several services to support seniors/elders living on-reserve. Our Assisted Living Program includes many types of support and our Happy Seniors Club offers weekly social activities and monthly outings.

Assisted Living

The Assisted Living Program is offered to community members of all ages who need various types of support, including:

  • Light in-home cleaning
  • Mental health support
  • Home visits (if you need someone to talk to, want to play a card or board game, or simply want the company)
  • Assistance getting to appointments
  • Check-ins (by phone or in-home visit)
  • Happy Seniors Club

Services are provided by Registered Care Workers and adult outreach staff.

To access this program for yourself or a family member, please make an appointment through our Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to meet with a community health nurse. The nurse will assess your needs to ensure you receive the best support.

The Assisted Living Program also runs the Happy Seniors Club for community members aged 65+. The Club offers weekly social activities suggested by the Elders, as well as snacks, educational opportunities, a monthly outing, and home/phone visits.

Club members meet every Wednesday morning from 10 to 12 at the Lennox Island Health Centre Kitchen.
